General Notes
- These particulars are intended as a fair description of the mooring site/vacant berth and are prepared as a guideline only. They do not constitute part of an offer or contract. These particulars and any statements from British Waterways (BW) employees are an opinion, given in good faith but should not be relied upon as a statement of fact. BW recommends that prospective bidders visit the mooring site and make their own assessments. BW reserves the right to withdraw the vacancy.
- A residential mooring is one which has planning consent from the local planning authority for use as a primary residence and is authorised for such use by BW. A leisure mooring is not to be used by people intending to use their boat as their main residence.
- If there are local Site Rules for this mooring site, they constitute part of the Mooring Agreement Terms and Conditions. We recommend you read them in advance of bidding. They may include restrictions which could exclude certain boats or activities at the site.
- You should consider the waterway dimensions to ensure your boat can navigate to and from the mooring site.
- The Guide Price is the current price set and published by British Waterways for the mooring.
- The Reserve Price reflects British Waterways' cost of providing the vacancy. It is the price below which it would not be economic for us to let the vacancy.
- A towpath mooring is normally open to public access. An offside mooring is on the opposite bank to the towpath and may or may not exclude public access.
